Karachi: Hasan Ali’s ten-wickets in the match has led Central Punjab to a comfortable nine-wicket win over Balochistan, their third consecutive victory in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QeA) 2020.
The defending champions chased down the target of 47 with ease after they bowled Balochistan for 285 as they enforced the follow-on.
Skipper Hasan Ali registered his third ten-wicket haul in first-class cricket after claiming five for 76 in the second innings. Waqas Maqsood took three for 63 while Bilawal Iqbal and Saad Nasim picked one each.

For Balochistan, Umaid Asif scored an impressive 69 while Jalat Khan scored 65 off 86 balls. Ayaz Tassawur made 50 off 62, powered by eight fours and a six.
On Day 2, Hasan smashed an unbeaten 50 off 33 balls to guide his team to 369 in the first innings before he recorded his 10th fifer in first-class cricket, which bundled out Balochistan for a mere 130.
In rounds six and seven of the tournament, CP defeated Sindh and Northern respectively after going winless in the first five rounds.
