Meaney is a dynamic player, having experience at fullback, on the wing and in the centres.

"We see a lot of upside in Nick," Storm head of football Frank Ponissi, said.

"We believe that not only will Storm be good for his football, having him at AAMI Park will be good for us.

"We look forward to seeing Nick run out in the purple jersey next year."

"We wish Nick all the best with his decision to join the Storm next season," he said.

"Nick has always worked hard and been truly committed to the cause here at Belmore and we would like to thank him for that and wish him and his family all the best with the move to Melbourne.

"I know that Nick will now focus all his energies on playing hard for the Bulldogs for the rest of the 2021 season."
