Blues star Tom Trbojevic has shut down any suggestions his troublesome hamstring today put him on restricted duties during a training session in Origin camp.
With the series opener scheduled to take place in Townsville next Wednesday, Trbojevic, who missed the opening five games of the season due to a hamstring injury, was seen training on his own and appeared to be in discomfort.
Nine's rugby league reporter Emma Lawrence, who was at the Blues training session, revealed Trbojevic was "training on his own, looking in a bit of pain and clutching at his hamstring".
But Trbojevic said despite what reporters saw, his training duties were no different to what he'd been doing all season long.
"I do that every week, it's all part of my routine now," he told reporters.
"That's what I do back at Manly and obviously that's pushed into here, so that's not too bad. Nothing to worry about.
"I've seen some experts down in Melbourne, it's about hitting high speeds regularly and loading that hamstring that way.
"That's the focus for me. The runs you would've seen me doing, it's about hitting certain speeds."
The 24-year-old has struggled to stay fit recently, having played just 19 NRL games across 2019 and 2020.
