Is there any better gig than being a coach just good enough to get a guaranteed contract?

With the Detroit Pistons firing Monty Williams, they still owe him $65 million. Jimbo Fisher is owed $77.6 million as part of his buyout from Texas A&M. Maybe my goal in life should be to get just good enough at coaching a sport to get a guaranteed deal.
