Nepali mountaineers record history, climb up ‘K2’ in Winters

Islamabad: Nepali mountaineer group led by Mingma Gyalje has recorded history after climbing the world’s second-largest mountainous peak, ‘K2’ for the first time in the winter season.

According to the details, the Nepali contingent has made history by climbing ‘K2’ for the first time. Earlier, 13 out of 14 highest mountainous peaks were climbed in this season, only K2 was left.

As many as 86 mountaineers lost their life while climbing K2 in this season. This was the first time, a team successfully climbed this mountain.
