‘NZ is not just winning, they are exposing Pakistan’s cricket’ Shoaib Akhtar

Islamabad: Cricketer-turned-analyst Shoaib Akhtar showed frustration on Pakistan’s poor performance in the Test series against New Zealand.

Taking to his YouTube channel, Akhtar said the Pakistan team is playing school-level cricket which will take them down further.

“Very disappointing to see such a performance by our players. No intentions to give the opponents a tough time. Very much mediocre effort to be honest,” he said.

“Let me tell you one thing, New Zealand is not just winning, they are exposing our cricket, our system,” he criticized.

Akhtar thinks that changing just management will not work, there is a need to change the top tier in the cricket board. “Once again, there are speculations regarding changing team management. It won’t work until people from upper-level change,” he said.

It must be noted here that Pakistan is in a tough situation in the second Test too after losing the opening game. Pakistan were 8-1 in reply to 362 runs lead, trailing by 354 runs heading into the final.
