‘Four-Day format is best to gain form’ Sharjeel Khan

Karachi: Sindh’s opener Sharjeel Khan said four-day format provides the greatest opportunity for players to get back lost form.

In an interview released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Sharjeel said scoring a century against Southern Punjab (SP) restored his confidence. “I enjoyed scoring a century knock against SP and it helped me gain confidence,” said Khan.

“I think four-day format of the game is the best for any player, be it bowler or batsman to get back the lost form. You get enough time in this format to learn and execute things,” added Khan who scored the First-Class century after almost seven years.

Talking about his century knock, Khan said he has noticed where he was wrong and he will try to grab rhythm with both hands. “I got to learn a lot from this inning and it really gave me confidence. I will try to continue this performance ahead in this tournament,” he concluded.

It must be noted here that Khan smashed 121 runs off 126 balls on Day 3 of the Fourth Round at National Stadium. The match held drew.
