When added to his Australian Open and Roland Garros titles from earlier this year, the win keeps alive Alcott's chances of a 'Golden Slam' in 2021. He needs to add the US Open, and the Paralympic Gold Medal to his tally to achieve that feat.<\/p>\n
"I'm cooked, that was hard," Alcott said.<\/p>\n
"How's the atmosphere, it's unbelievable, I know the UK's been through a tough time, everybody has all around the world, to be able to have crowds back has been incredible.<\/p>\n

"It's a real Australian crowd, I get emotional thinking about Wimbledon.<\/p>\n
"To get to play here was an absolute privilege, to be a dual Wimbledon champion, I'm shaking."<\/p>\n
Alcott had to wait out a rain delay of more than an hour, starting nervously with a double fault. The early exchanges gave every indication of a tight match, with Alcott having to save a break point at 1-1. He did that with a big serve at Schroder's body, then came up with two big points to close out the game. A crosscourt backhand brought up game point for the Australian, and a superb drop shot-lob combination gave him the game.<\/p>\n
The sixth game proved decisive, with Alcott breaking for 4-2, and then quickly wrapping up the set in 34 minutes.<\/p>\n

The second set appeared likely to go the same way when Alcott had multiple break points to take a 2-0 lead, but he was unable to convert, including a missed volley with the court wide open.<\/p>\n
But the Australian was able to quickly break again, racing through the closing stages to wrap the match up in straight sets.<\/p>\n
"I'm going to be honest, I don't know how many more I've got left or if I'll ever be back," Alcott said.<\/p>\n
"I really tried to enjoy this opportunity."<\/p>\n
