A number of Dragons<\/a> players who attended Paul Vaughan's party are reportedly refusing to sign a document that would allow them to play next week.<\/p>\n

Twelve players congregated at Vaughan's house<\/a> last weekend to celebrate their win over the Warriors, breaching the NSW lockdown protocols and the NRL's biosecurity bubble.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Vaughan, a repeat offender, was subsequently sacked by the Dragons<\/a>, while each of the players who attended his house were stood down for one game and fined.<\/p>\n

The NRL has granted the Dragons the ability to spread those suspensions out over four rounds<\/a> to allow coach Anthony Griffin to field a competitive team each week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But according to a report in the Daily Telegraph, a number of players have received legal advice to not sign a statement which the NRL requires in order to allow them back on the field next week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The document states that no person other than the 13 players, plus Vaughan's wife, were in attendance at the party, and that no players came into contact with any person outside the NRL's bubble.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Had any player come into contact with a person outside the bubble it would have major ramifications for the league, forcing a two week isolation period on all the players who were at Vaughan's house.<\/p>\n

The NRL and RLPA are reportedly drafting a new document that will be handed back to the payers to consider.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A number of the Dragons' dozen are reportedly fine with signing the affidavit, but some refused.<\/p>\n
