{"id":97441,"date":"2021-07-09T09:04:29","date_gmt":"2021-07-09T09:04:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=97441"},"modified":"2021-07-09T10:00:48","modified_gmt":"2021-07-09T10:00:48","slug":"suspended-icc-chief-sawhney-out-after-investigation-reveals-misconduct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=97441","title":{"rendered":"Suspended ICC chief Sawhney out after investigation reveals misconduct"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 5px 5% 10px 5%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/arysports.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Manu-Sawhney.jpg\" width=\"742\" height=\"486\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Dubai:\u00a0The International Cricket Council said on Thursday that chief executive\u00a0Manu\u00a0Sawhney\u00a0would be leaving after sources reported that an investigation had found evidence of misconduct.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Geoff Allardice will remain as acting CEO following the review of\u00a0Sawhney&#8217;s actions and management conduct at the helm of cricket&#8217;s world governing body by the business consultancy PwC.<\/p>\n<p>ICC officials have not said what allegations were made against\u00a0Sawhney, but Indian media previously reported they involved the treatment of staff and some decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Reports said there had also been clashes with the main ICC members from Australia, England and India over future events.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The International Cricket Council today announced that chief executive\u00a0Manu\u00a0Sawhney\u00a0will leave the organisation with immediate effect,&#8221; the ICC said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Geoff Allardice will continue as Acting CEO supported by the leadership team working closely with the ICC Board.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ICC had wanted to use\u00a0Sawhney&#8217;s experience to further boost its television revenues.
