The dumbfounding behaviour of Dragons players, with nearly 200-game veteran Vaughan leading the way, angered the NRL, leading them to dish out fines totalling over $300,000.<\/a><\/p>\n McGregor described Vaughan as a "nice kid", but admitted he never grew into the role as a leader at the club, despite his impressive playing resume.<\/p>\n "I know he is 29 and he is a senior player because he has played State of Origin and for Australia, but he's a gentle giant," McGregor told Fox Sports.<\/p>\n "He likes to hang around younger people. He likes to have a good time obviously.
