Dylan Alcott<\/a> will have the chance to defend his Wimbledon<\/a> singles title, advancing to the final of the quad wheelchair singles at the All England Club.<\/p>\n

Alcott defeated long-time rival David Wagner 6-2, 6-2 to qualify for his 16th grand slam final.<\/p>\n

The Australian needed just 73 minutes to dispatch Wagner, winning the first set without recording a single unforced error.<\/p>\n

Alcott will play Dutchman Sam Schroder in the final. Victory would keep alive his chance of winning the 'Golden Slam' after he won both the Australian Open<\/a> and Roland Garros<\/a> titles earlier this year.<\/p>\n

A Golden Slam is all four Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal in the same calendar year.<\/p>\n

"Everyone loves talking about the Golden Slam more than I do," Alcott told ITFTennis.com. <\/p>\n

"I didn't know what it was until everyone started saying it to me the other day.<\/p>\n

"I had an opportunity to win the Grand Slam in 2019 and I thought about it and talked about it but choked it up hard.<\/p>\n

"If I win the Golden Slam, how good? If I don't, the sun still comes up. I have a great family and I'm still out here at Wimbledon breathing in the grass and looking at everyone smashing Pimm's. I'm a happy guy."<\/p>\n
