Manly have overlooked Kieran Foran's badly beaten body to hand the veteran five-eighth a new two-year contract, linking the journeyman with the Sea Eagles until the end of 2023.<\/p>\n

Manly coach Des Hasler confirmed the reports of Foran's fresh deal following the Sea Eagles' 30-16 loss to the Raiders at Brookvale Oval<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 32-Test New Zealand playmaker has managed to extend his time at Manly despite his injury-ravaged past, which has affected his career during his two stints at the Sea Eagles, as well as his time at the Eels, Warriors and Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

In Foran's latest injury blow, the 30-year-old broke his right hand in Magic Round, which sidelined him for two games.<\/p>\n

The career of the 2011 Manly premiership No.6 has also been hindered by serious knee, shoulder and pectoral injuries.<\/p>\n

But there's no denying Foran's experience, explosive runs with the footy and elite passing game are critical to Manly's performance.<\/p>\n

"He's been very good," Hasler said.<\/p>\n

"He offers a lot of experience, particularly for our younger guys.<\/p>\n

"He's been playing good footy."<\/p>\n
