The 31-year-old Umar previosuly paid fine of PKR 4.2 million which was imposed by Court of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) and PCB.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Seventeen months ago I made a mistake that damaged Pakistan cricket and me. My mistake was that some people contacted me for suspicious approach which I could not report on time,&#8221; Umar said.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 696px\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]&gt;document.createElement('video');&lt;![endif]--><br \/>\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-228882-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" preload=\"metadata\" controls><a href=\"https:\/\/arysports.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/WhatsApp-Video-2021-07-07-at-14.35.46.mp4\">https:\/\/arysports.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/WhatsApp-Video-2021-07-07-at-14.35.46.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;I admit today that this mistake has brought Pakistan cricket into disrepute. I apologize to Pakistan Cricket Board, my family and the people of Pakistan,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I request all players that your ambassadors of the game and country. Stay away from any suspicious activity. If anyone contacts, contact the PCB Anti-Corruption Unit to keep your feet clean,&#8221; he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, CAS reduced Akmal\u2019s\u00a018-month to 12 months.
