Karachi: Tall right-arm pacer Shahnawaz Dhani, who is representing Sindh in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy,\u00a0 feels lucky to play in a televised match at the iconic National Stadium.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shahnawaz belongs to a remote village near Larkana and was promoted from Sindh 2nd XI to the senior side for the fourth round of the tournament. He picked 3-74 in the first inning against Southern Punjab, dismissing Zain Abbas, Saif Badar, and Salman Ali Agha.<\/p>\n

“I feel honored and lucky to play a match at National Stadium which is being broadcasted on a National TV,” said Shahnawaz in a presser after the day’s play.<\/p>\n

Talking about his fitness, Shahnawaz said that he hadn’t done any kind of gym in his earlier days due to lack of training facilities in his area.<\/p>\n

“I have been doing cultivation in my village\u00a0since childhood along with my father and brother. 90 % of the credit for my strong physique goes to my efforts in my field,” he added.<\/p>\n

Shahnawaz believes that four-day cricket is the last stage of getting closer to represent Pakistan and it is important to stay mentally strong and play well.<\/p>\n
