New South Wales<\/a>' preparations for the State of Origin<\/a> series finale have been dealt a blow after the team was forced to move its camp due to Sydney's COVID-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n

The Blues had originally planned to base the Origin III camp at Magenta Shores near Norah Head on the Central Coast, but will now fly out on Tuesday to base themselves out of Kingscliff on the NSW north coast.<\/p>\n

NSW's camp reshuffle comes with the venue for Origin III still up in the air after the July 14 clash was initially slated to be played at Stadium Australia in Sydney.<\/p>\n

"There is still a lot of uncertainty on a number of different levels to do with the COVID situation around Greater Sydney and the Central Coast," NSWRL CEO David Trodden said.<\/p>\n

"This was considered the best option in the circumstances, and it was one which worked well for the team for game two."<\/p>\n

The reshuffle of the NSW base mirrors that of the on-field reshuffle that coach Brad Fittler<\/a> has been forced into ahead of Game Three due to a number of injury issues. <\/p>\n

NSW will take the field in the Origin finale with a brand new halves combination<\/a> after Panthers duo Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai were ruled out with injuries. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Tigers young gun Stefano Utoikamanu was brought into the NSW camp<\/a> alongside the recalled Clint Gutherson after Daniel Saifiti was ruled out of Origin III with a rib cartilage injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n
