Wallaroos coach Dwayne Nestor and his assistant Matt Tink have sensationally resigned after allegedly using "unacceptable language" during the Super W tournament in Coffs Harbour.<\/p>\n

Rugby Australia released a statement on Saturday night saying the coaches' language was targeted at "match officials, refereeing decisions and general play in an audio recording of the game which was then uploaded to the team's analysis portal."<\/p>\n

The organisation said "some individuals have taken offence to the language used and Rugby Australia would like to apologise to those individuals for that."<\/p>\n

RA said the coaches were immediately stood down and went home but had since resigned, effective immediately.<\/p>\n

Nestor has led the Wallaroos since 2018.<\/p>\n

"After we heard about the incident, we made swift and decisive action in standing down both individuals immediately, who have since resigned," RA chief executive Andy Marinos said.<\/p>\n

"As an organisation, we do not stand for such behaviour. We have a zero-tolerance approach, and it has no place in our game at any level.<\/p>\n

"We will now begin our recruitment for these roles, in what is a very important year for our Wallaroos."<\/p>\n

RA said that players were being offered support through the Benestar counselling and wellbeing service.<\/p>\n
