Brisbane is set to welcome a big crowd without restrictions at Suncorp Stadium for the first Test between the Wallabies and France<\/a> on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Ticket sales for the blockbuster match had been paused as Queensland entered a circuit breaker lockdown amid an outbreak of COVID-19 in the state.<\/p>\n

But Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced lockdown restrictions would lift for Greater Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region from 6pm today (Saturday).<\/p>\n

The state recorded five local cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours from more than 25,000 tests.<\/p>\n

Masks will be mandatory at Suncorp Stadium for anyone 12 years or over and fans will also need to use the Queensland check in app before being allowed in.<\/p>\n

"I want to thank the Queensland Government for their incredible effort in securing the health and safety of the wider community including fans, staff and players," Rugby Australia chief executive Andy Marinos said.<\/p>\n
