Italian star Fabio Fognini<\/a> has produced one of the shots of the tournament at Wimbledon<\/a> in his third-round clash against No.5 seed Andrey Rublev.<\/p>\n

With the match tied at one set apiece and Fognini looking to force Rublev to serve out the third set, the 26th seeded Italian pulled out an incredible backhand winner. <\/p>\n

Rublev looked to have won the point when his stinging two-hand backhand forced Fognini deep into his own corner before he unleashed an incredible one-handed passing shot.<\/p>\n

The insane winner stunned Nine's commentary duo of Todd Woodbridge<\/a> and Sam Groth<\/a>, with Woodbridge comparing it to a Roger Federer shot.<\/p>\n

"Stop it! That's not allowed is it?" Woodbridge said on Nine's Wimbledon coverage.<\/p>\n

\"Fabio<\/p>\n

"I say that because it's usually with the two-hander and somehow he flicks single-hander with something Federer would be proud of."<\/p>\n

"I don't think the physics of this quite work do they?" Groth added.<\/p>\n

"I'm not sure how that's gotten over the highest part of the net and dipped down into the court."<\/p>\n

Fognini's third-set heroics came after a dominant second set where he showcased some incredible hitting that allowed him to get back into the match.<\/p>\n

However, despite Fognini's heroics he was unable to take out the third set, with Rublev serving it out the ensuing game to take a two set to one lead before sealing the match with a 6-3 5-7 6-4 6-2 win.<\/p>\n
