<\/p>\nMitchell Moses still remains firmly a chance to make his State of Origin debut, despite missing a post-siren field goal for Parramatta, says NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler.<\/p>\n
After Penrith's Matt Burton slotted a 79th-minute field goal to give his side the edge in the shadow of full-time, the Eels moments later were handed a late penalty goal from close to the sideline, which Moses was unable to convert on, leading to Parramatta's 13-12 loss.<\/p>\n
Moses just minutes before Burton's field goal was also unsuccessful on a near 50-metre field goal attempt that would've given his side a one-point lead at the time.<\/p>\n
But despite the halfback's misfortunes from late in the match, Fittler said he was left impressed with Moses' kicking game which he claims saved the Eels from losing by more than just the one-point courtesy of Burton's boot.<\/p>\n

"If he (Moses) didn't play, I think they (Eels) would've been beaten by more," Fittler told Nine after the match.<\/p>\n
"Without his kicking game, Penrith would've played a lot more on the Eels' try-line.<\/p>\n
"Their defence, although their last 10 minutes on their try-line was good defence, apart from that it looked pretty fragile.<\/p>\n
"If it wasn't for him and his kicking game, the score could've been worse than 13-12."<\/p>\n
