Nick Kyrgios was at his entertaining best as he smashed 29 aces and 48 winners to defeat Italy's Gianluca Mager 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 6-4 in the second round at Wimbledon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The highlight was match point, when the Canberran – still without a coach – asked a fan where he should serve, leaning over into the stands as a woman whispered in his ear. He walked back over the baseline, served and volleyed and then thanked the fan before shaking hands with Mager. <\/p>\n

Kyrgios later walked back over and tossed her a ball in gratitude.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios reached the third round for the fifth time in his career with a sensational showing that included plenty of theatrics with the crowd and some more complaints about the pace of the court.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios also played incredibly well serving 29 aces in the three-set match and only had 11 unforced errors. And he looked like he was having a lot of fun along the way, with the self-confessed NBA superfan pulling out LeBron James' infamous stomp celebration en route to winning the first set against world No.77 Mager.<\/p>\n

In the opening game, up 40-love, Kyrgios pulled out an underarm serve which delighted commentators and fans, even if it wasn't successful. But it set the tone for the antics Kyrgios would have on Court 3.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old had been in conversation with the woman who gave him match point advice throughout the match. She shouted her thoughts, "Down the middle" at another point, which he did for an ace, and replied, "Good call".<\/p>\n

Kyrgios was also fuming at the slowness of the the All England Club's grass court, as he did in his first-round victory.<\/a><\/p>\n

"Make it real grass! Jesus!" Kyrgios yelled in frustration in the first set, despite his 200km\/h-plus aces proving a handful for Mager all match.<\/p>\n

"For those of you who don't know on grass it's supposed to slide away, now it just pops up on all of them. Feels like I'm playing at Roland Garros."<\/p>\n

There were flashes of Kyrgios' bad boy side too in the match, but it was a more tongue-in-cheek version. <\/p>\n

He playfully argued with an official about a foot fault, and also shouted an obscenity which got him a code violation, but apologised immediately afterward.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios will next face Felix Auger-Aliassime in a tantilising third round showdown after the Canadian defeated Swede Mikael Ymer.<\/p>\n
