Both the Adelaide Crows<\/a> and Port Adelaide<\/a> will fly to Melbourne this afternoon, as the AFL reacts to the developing COVID-19 situation around the country.<\/p>\n

South Australia has today announced five new cases of the virus<\/a>, the first infections in that state for 200 days.<\/p>\n

Port Adelaide is due to play Hawthorn<\/a> at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night, but the details for the Crows' match against Brisbane<\/a> remains uncertain.<\/p>\n

"Bringing the two South Australian teams to Victoria today minimises risk for the competition as\u00a0we progress the\u00a0season in a constantly changing environment," AFL fixture boss Travis Auld said. \u00a0 <\/p>\n

"As of this evening we\u00a0will have\u00a0all 18 teams in Victoria and, as a competition, we will continue to remain adaptable where required. \u00a0 <\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/p>\n

"The two teams travelling today will fly to Victoria via a charter flight and will remain in the state ahead of this round's matches. \u00a0 <\/p>\n

"While COVID-19 continues to impact the community, we will work closely with state governments, health officials, our clubs and players to ensure\u00a0the\u00a0best possible outcome for everyone in\u00a0the\u00a0game."<\/p>\n
