The AFL has revealed the Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Suns, Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles will\u00a0all travel\u00a0to Victoria today as a response to the COVID outbreaks impacting the nation.<\/p>\n

It was announced today parts of Queensland will enter a three-day lockdown from 6pm (AEST) tonight<\/a> after two new locally acquired coronavirus cases emerged, while Perth and Peel will undergo a four-day lockdown<\/a> following a third COVID-19 case recorded in the area.<\/p>\n

The four clubs will board chartered flights today ahead of the upcoming Round 16 fixture this weekend.<\/p>\n

"We will continue to remain adaptable as\u00a0the\u00a0season\u00a0progresses in a constantly changing environment," AFL Executive General Manager Clubs and Broadcasting Travis Auld said.<\/p>\n

"While COVID-19 continues to impact the community, we will work closely with state governments, health officials, our clubs and players to ensure\u00a0the\u00a0best possible outcome for everyone in\u00a0the\u00a0game. \u00a0<\/p>\n

"The four teams travelling today will fly to Victoria via charter flights and will be Covid-tested on arrival and isolate until they each receive a negative result."<\/p>\n

Both the Sydney Swans and GWS Giants were rushed into hubs in Victoria last week<\/a> due to the COVID-19 cluster impacting New South Wales.<\/p>\n
