Blues great Peter Sterling<\/a> says Queensland coach Paul Green<\/a>'s belief that the Maroons have created enough chances is through two State of Origin<\/a> games is a major concern.<\/p>\n

Green's side have been toothless offensively through the first two Origin encounters, managing a meagre total of six points after being held scoreless at Suncorp Stadium in Game II<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the match, Green told reporters that his side were "just not icing [their] opportunities" despite "creating" them throughout the match.<\/p>\n

However, Sterling poured cold water on Green's comments in a scathing assessment of Queensland's play on the offensive side of the ball.<\/p>\n

"Yes, there were a couple of occasions where they could've scored tries, but around those individual incidents there wasn't much created," Sterling told Wide World of Sports' Sterlo's Wrap<\/em>. "They didn't cause too many concerns at all for the NSW defence."<\/p>\n

"To come out and say they didn't take their opportunities, when I didn't see many of them, that's a concern if that's how they saw that game because I saw it very, very differently. <\/p>\n

"They had to find ways to ask more of the NSW defence, and they didn't. So there wasn't much to ice."<\/p>\n

Despite his criticism of Green's comments, Sterling credited the Maroons' halves pairing Daly Cherry-Evans and Cameron Munster for attempting to be more creative in Game II.<\/p>\n

"I'm a Cherry-Evans fan, at club level he came into this series in white-hot form, but I just think NSW have been able to dull Queensland overall," he said.<\/p>\n

"I thought Cherry-Evans and Munster, their first 20 minutes last night they tried really hard to get something going.<\/p>\n

"There was more offloads, more support play and more backing up, but NSW just repelled everything that was thrown at them."<\/p>\n

Green's Queensland side will aim to avoid being the first team to be swept 3-0 since the Craig Bellamy-led NSW Blues team back in the 2010 State of Origin series when they take the field for Origin III on July 14.<\/p>\n
