Jarryd Lyons will remain at the Brisbane Lions<\/a> for an additional three years after signing a two-year extension with the club after triggering a clause for 2022.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old has become one of Brisbane's most consistent players since joining the club in 2019, averaging a career-high 28.1 disposals per game in 14 appearances this year.<\/p>\n

The contract extension continues what has been an incredible career arc for Lyons, who is in contention for an All-Australian spot this season, just three years after being delisted by the Gold Coast Suns<\/a>, who finished 17th on the ladder when they let him go.<\/p>\n

After initially being drafted by the Crows before being traded to the Suns, Lyons credited the stability in Brisbane for allowing him to play at a career-best level.<\/p>\n

"They are a great bunch of players and a really supportive coaching staff who have created a culture that makes it an absolute pleasure to come to work each day.<\/p>\n
