Hawthorn<\/a> forward Tim O'Brien has become the latest player to put in his own submission for the Mark of the Year award after a stunning grab against the GWS Giants. <\/p>\n

O'Brien's grab came in the second quarter when the Hawks were trailing the Giants by four points<\/a> and forced a GWS turnover in the middle of the MCG.<\/p>\n

Chad Wingard picked up the ball and sent it towards Hawthorn's goal square, with O'Brien going back with the flight of the ball to take the mark, taking out his teammate Luke Breust in the process.<\/p>\n

O'Brien got so high off the ground with his leap that he landed with a violent faceplant in the goal square before calmly slotting the goal.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, O'Brien's mark came in the exact same goal square at the MCG as Richmond's Shai Bolton's mark earlier in the season<\/a>, a mark that was previously the Mark of the Year favourite. <\/p>\n

"It's a superman leap," Kangaroos great David King said on commentary for Fox Footy. "It had the crash landing, it had the lot."<\/p>\n

"That's a nice grab, isn't it?" Hawks great Jason Dunstall added. "That's a beauty. He got the second lift and over he went." <\/p>\n

It wasn't only the commentary team that was set alight by O'Brien's insane grab, with social media equally stunned by the incredible feat of athleticism.<\/p>\n
