Sydney star Lance Franklin<\/a> has been reported for a high hit on Port Adelaide's Jarrod Lienert during the Swans' Round 15 clash against the Power<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The incident occurred in the first quarter when Franklin's hip made contact with Lienert's head with the Power defender bent over the football as the Swans star rushed in late.<\/p>\n

Despite Hawthorn great Jason Dunstall stating that the incident would warrant "a fine at worst" on Fox Footy's coverage, the AFL's crackdown on head-high contact will cause some concern for Franklin and the Swans. <\/p>\n

Franklin's case will be helped by the fact that Lienert was able to continue playing uninhibited for the remainder of the match, meaning the incident is likely to be assessed as low impact.<\/p>\n

However, AFL greats Mark Ricciuto and Garry Lyon noted that Franklin's careless bump was "very dangerous", even if he didn't mean to make contact with Lienert's head.<\/p>\n

"You can see here as he comes in late he got him high," Ricciuto told Fox Footy.<\/p>\n

"He probably will get away with that, but the umpire has put him in the book. It's very dangerous to do that."\n<\/p>\n

\n"The query will be whether he went around to the side in the end," Lyon added. "He was aware of how dangerous it was. There was some contact made."<\/p>\n
