Queensland's injury woes have continued with reports emerging that young gun Reece Walsh<\/a> broke down during the Maroons<\/a>' captain's run ahead of Origin II.<\/p>\n

According to a News Corp report, Walsh will undergo a fitness test on Sunday to determine his availability after failing to finish Queensland's final training session.<\/p>\n

Queensland coach Paul Green admitted that the 18-year-old had suffered a setback, admitting that "his leg was a bit tight".<\/p>\n

"I have to talk to the doctors so I don't know the specifics of it," Green told News Corp.<\/p>\n

"I'm not sure if he will play, I think he will, but we will assess him (on Sunday) and see how he feels in the morning."<\/p>\n

Sharks star Ronaldo Mulitalo is on standby to replace Walsh in Queensland's side, with Valentine Holmes also an option to line up at fullback in Walsh's absence.<\/p>\n

After being drubbed 50-6 in the State of Origin opener<\/a>, the inclusion of Walsh had infused Queensland's camp with a major sense of excitement. <\/p>\n

The Warriors star earned high praise from Queensland legend Johnathan Thurston for his conduct in camp in the lead-up to Sunday's Origin II.<\/p>\n

"His eagerness to learn – he's always asking about video and film type of stuff. He's always asking questions as well," Thurston told 2GB's Wide World of Sports Radio.<\/p>\n

"No doubt he's a confident young kid and we need to be able to put him in situations in the game where he feels at his most comfortable and at his best.<\/p>\n

"This week he's been really impressive. I'm really excited to see what he can do on the back of our forwards laying a platform and our halves giving him some ball in the right spaces."<\/p>\n

Origin II will kick off at 7:50 pm on Sunday, June 27 with Queensland aiming to tie up the series at their fortress, Suncorp Stadium.<\/p>\n
