NRL teams have been told to prepare for games to be moved amid the COVID-19 cluster in New South Wales<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Nine's NRL reporter Danny Weidler, NRL CEO Andrew Abdo informed club CEOs to have a "whatever it takes attitude", with games likely to move as revenue and home ground advantages become impacted.<\/p>\n

"Told that they need to have a whatever it takes attitude when it comes to the current COVID outbreak – teams told to prepare for games to be moved, home ground advantages and revenue will be lost."<\/p>\n

News of Abdo's message to club bosses comes after three Bulldogs players<\/a> were placed into isolation and ordered to get a COVID-19 test on Thursday, after visiting an exposure site in Sydney's eastern suburbs, despite being told to avoid the area three days earlier.<\/p>\n

Dylan Napa<\/a>, Brandon Wakeham and Aaron Schoupp were at the Royal Hotel in Bondi on June 20, which was also attended by a person who has since tested positive to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

The NSW government announced on Friday that four Sydney local government areas will plunge into a seven-day lockdown<\/a> from 11.59pm on Friday in a bid to stamp out the state's escalating coronavirus outbreak.<\/p>\n

The four council areas are: City of Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, and Woollahra. The stay-at-home orders will be in place until at least 11.59pm on Friday, July 2.<\/p>\n
