Former Australian tennis star Sam Groth says the short turnaround for next week's Wimbledon will impact Ash Barty and Nick Kyrgios.<\/p>\n

Barty, the women's world No.1, will head into Monday's Wimbledon without any lead-up tournaments under her belt after she suffered a hip injury earlier this month<\/a>, which forced her to retire during a second-round match at Roland-Garros.<\/p>\n

While Kyrgios, who's ranked 61st, hasn't competed since his third-round exit at the Australian Open<\/a> in February. It's understood the 26-year-old left for England yesterday, which will give him just a handful of days to prepare before the tournament starts.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios will enter Wimbledon unseeded, which will see him hit with a tough draw.<\/p>\n

"Ash certainly hasn't [had any preperation] after the injury at Roland-Garros and no lead-in tournaments for her," Groth told 2GB's Wide World of Sports radio.<\/em><\/p>\n

"For Nick, he's been here in Australia and only left yesterday.<\/p>\n

"It's a quick turnaround for both of them. Probably not ideal preparation for Nick.<\/p>\n

"It's a quick turnaround for most of the tour after Roland-Garros was only 11 days ago.<\/p>\n

"It's a really short preparation in the grass-court season for everyone."<\/p>\n

Asked about men's world No.1 Novak Djokovic, Groth said it was tough to see any circumstance where the Serbian maestro didn't add another Grand Slam title to his name at Wimbledon.<\/p>\n

\"Novak<\/p>\n

"I think by the end of the year, he [Djokovic] might have the 21 and be ahead of everyone and then you add in the possibility of the Olympics," Groth said.<\/p>\n

"Coming into Wimbledon – no Rafa, Dominic Thiem injured with a wrist, Stefanos Tsitsipas with a quick turnaround, it's a tough tournament for anyone.<\/p>\n

"Novak will go in as a red-hot favourite once again."<\/p>\n
