Karachi: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has congratulated New Zealand on winning the inaugural ICC WTC Final over India at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Black Caps defeated India by eight wickets on Day 6 (Reserve Day) of the one-off Test. They chased down the target of 139 courtesy of a brilliant 96-run stand between Ross Taylor and skipper Kane Williamson.<\/p>\n

Babar also appreciated India for putting up a great fight throughout the championship. “Congratulations to New Zealand on this remarkable feat. WTC is indeed a premier contest and you can’t succeed without perseverance and dedication,” Babar tweeted.<\/p>\n
