Former AFL star Barry Hall will return to the ring for two more fights after his draw with Paul Gallen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the wake of Gallen's tenth round TKO loss to Justis Huni<\/a>, Hall confirmed he will be fighting in August and said one of the fights will be against another big name ex-athlete.<\/p>\n

Hall had been linked with a bout against superstar Sonny-Bill Williams this year with both camps expressing interest in a fight a few months back. But it's understood both fighters may fight on the same card in separate fights on a double-header fight night before clashing a few months later.<\/p>\n

Speaking to You Can't be Serious podcast, Hall didn't confirm who his opponent will be but said it will be "quite a big fight".<\/p>\n

"I signed an agreement,'' Hall said while revealing he was preparing on the Gold Coast for two more fights.<\/p>\n

"Two fights in August and October. I can't say at this stage (against who) because they want to launch it and those sort of things.<\/p>\n

"It's going to be quite a big fight. I'll have a couple more fights and that will do. I'll sail off into the sunset."<\/p>\n

Hall said he would have liked to fight Gallen again after their draw, but they couldn't come to terms.<\/p>\n

"I'd like to get in there again with him. He's got his reasons for why it didn't happen and I've got mine," he said.<\/p>\n

"I respect what he's done. In terms of his record and who he has fought, it doesn't matter what sort of calibre they are, you have to get in there and beat them, and he's beat them.<\/p>\n

Williams' promoter Khoder Nasser and Hall's advisor Danny Green have been in negotiations for months about making a fight happen. Green told the Sydney Morning Herald in February both sides are keen.<\/p>\n

"Sonny is really excited about the idea of fighting Barry, Khoder tells me," Green said. "Both these guys don't want to lose to each other. They have both requested they have a fight beforehand, so why don't we put them on the same show?<\/p>\n

"It's great from a viewership perspective and ensures both athletes are in the best condition when they do fight each other.<\/p>\n

"The fact that Sonny Bill is going into another sport again, it's going to create a lot of noise and a lot of hype because he is a juggernaut. The fact these two behemoths are going to get in there and get it on, it's very exciting."<\/p>\n
