Ever since taking out last year's Clive Churchill Medal, Papenhuyzen has been touted as a possible No.14 selection for the Blues<\/a>, however, any hopes of featuring in Game Two at the end of this month look slim.<\/p>\n According to Bellamy, while a best-case scenario for the 23-year-old would be a return on July 1 against the Roosters, Papenhuyzen has also been fighting a mental battle brought on by concussion concerns.<\/p>\n "He (Papenhuyzen) was very doughy for two-three weeks after [the Magic Round head knock]," Bellamy told reporters.<\/p>\n "He's still not training with the team but doing his own training. But there's been a marked improvement probably the last week to his demeanour.<\/p>\n "He was down and obviously, it was affecting him. He'd do a bit of training and get a headache.<\/p>\n "He seems to have turned the corner over the last week-10 days. I'm not sure when he will be back, I don't think anyone has pencilled anything in.<\/p>\n "I think Paps might be looking at the Roosters game, which is about in three weeks. He's looking at that.<\/p>\n "Having said that, it will be up to how he's feeling and what the specialists say."<\/p>\n Discussing the mental battle of concussion injuries, Bellamy revealed he's witnessed a number of players struggle with how to handle it.<\/p>\n "Some players find it harder to recover from it when they know the situation of it," he added.<\/p>\n "[Concussion] gets obviously a lot of publicity and has done for a lot of years now and some guys worry about it more than other guys if they get a head knock.<\/p>\n "Some get more down about it than others.
