Gold Coast<\/a> star Matthew Rowell<\/a> was involved in a hilarious moment prior to his AFL comeback match when he forgot his starting position for the first bounce.<\/p>\n

Playing in his first match since being injured in Round 1<\/a>, Rowell could not find his position and ran towards the bench thinking he was starting on the bench, only to be told he was starting up forward.<\/p>\n

After a quick look at the magnets on the whiteboard, the 2019 No.1 pick had to do a mad dash to get to the forward line in time, leaving the commentary team in stitches.<\/p>\n

"He thought he was starting on the bench, then he was waved back," Hawks great Jason Dunstall said on Fox Footy's coverage.<\/p>\n

\"Matt<\/p>\n

"He goes, 'Well, hang on, give me a look at the whiteboard', so he goes to the guy with the whiteboard and says, 'Give me a look at the magnets, oh there's my name, I'm playing forward!', which is interesting in itself.<\/p>\n

"He hasn't started in the midfield he's played that high half-forward role."<\/p>\n

"A little rusty," Dunstall's co-commentator, Adam Papalia, added.<\/p>\n

Rowell's inclusion for the first time in three months was a massive boost for the Suns who were facing Fremantle at Optus Stadium.<\/p>\n
