{"id":83116,"date":"2021-06-09T21:14:08","date_gmt":"2021-06-09T21:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=83116"},"modified":"2021-06-10T06:58:31","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T06:58:31","slug":"ex-nrl-star-cops-whopping-ban-for-hayne-posts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=83116","title":{"rendered":"Ex-NRL star cops whopping ban for Hayne posts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former NRL star Krisnan Inu has been slammed with a heavy fine and suspension for offensive social media posts over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com.au\/national\/jarryd-hayne-sentence-sexual-assault-rape-trial-nsw-newcastle\/20af9ab9-9908-42b3-9e15-53e101f55ea9\" title=\"Jarryd Hayne rape case verdict\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Jarryd Hayne rape case verdict<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Inu&#x27;s English club Salford has come down hard on the former Eels, Bulldogs and Warriors centre, fining him four weeks salary and suspended him from playing for two months.<\/p>\n<p>Inu, a close friend of Hayne, must also attend a mandatory education program being developed in conjunction with the University of Salford.<\/p>\n<p>The program will feature social media protocol and wider community and social issues.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"c173f52d-2038-4cd4-8394-77ad1d4b5389\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/c173f52d-2038-4cd4-8394-77ad1d4b5389\" alt=\"Salford Red Devil&#x27;s Krisnan Inu\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Inu apologised for his posts, which he later removed, admitting his language and message was inappropriate.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I deeply apologise for the comments made in my social media postings on May 6,&quot; he said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;By the inappropriate use of language, my remarks were open to misinterpretation and have caused offence and disrepute to my club Salford Red Devils and the RFL.
