The ongoing feud between Australian WNBA star Liz Cambage and Andrew Bogut<\/a> has taken another turn, with the Opals star today saying the former NBA champion has an "obsession" with her.<\/p>\n

Over the years the pair have exchanged barbs publicly on social media, often tongue-in-cheek in nature, but sometimes cutting a bit too close to the bone.<\/p>\n

Bogut in a recent interview claimed one of the pair's recent back and forth exchanges was all for show and nothing to be taken seriously.<\/p>\n

"We were texting back and forth all week leading up to that," Bogut told news.com.au.<\/p>\n

"We're really close. We thought we'd just light a little firecracker in the media.<\/p>\n

"We've been texting and laughing about it… it's been great."<\/p>\n

Seeing the comments made today, Cambage teed off on Twitter and denied the pair had any positive relationship.<\/p>\n

"Wow," she wrote in a tweet accompanied with a screenshot of Bogut's quotes. "I do not have your number, I have literally never spoken to you away from a BA [Basketball Australia] event.<\/p>\n

"This obsession is just f—ing weird. And my name still in your mouth… get a f—ing life."<\/p>\n

The pair's war of words dates back to 2016 when a Twitter spat occurred<\/a> after Cambage took offence to comments made by Bogut when she attended a Black Lives Matter rally in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Bogut changed his tune days after his original comments and admitted he "did some research" on the matter, but the feud continued.<\/p>\n

While some of it could well be considered tongue in check, Bogut in recent times has mocked Cambage over her DJ-ing and hit back at her strong stance against an Olympics photo shoot that she said lacked diversity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In return the Opal has called the former Golden State Warrior "washed up" and "disrespectful".<\/p>\n
