So they&#x27;d have some things there that they&#x27;d be able to give to Paul and say, &#x27;Look, let&#x27;s put these into play&#x27;.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"2e4a3a35-e236-434f-a017-2f22f5cc4cc9\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/2e4a3a35-e236-434f-a017-2f22f5cc4cc9\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cleary will combine with his fourth Origin halves partner when he joins forces with Panthers teammate Jarome Luai in the series-opener, having already played with James Maloney, <a href=\"https:\/\/wwos.nine.com.au\/nrl\/state-of-origin-2021-nsw-blues-penrith-panthers-jarome-luai-latrell-mitchell-tyson-frizell\/1f8ae424-3118-4006-8b9a-d278ae8851ab\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Cody Walker\">Cody Walker<\/a> and Luke Keary.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old has been in scintillating touch during Penrith&#x27;s unbeaten start to the season, so much so that he was leading the Dally M Medal count as it was hidden at the completion of Round 12.<\/p>\n<p>Cleary is leading the league in points and kick metres and is trailing only Luai in try assists.<\/p>\n<p>The gun No.7 is now set to make his ninth Origin appearance in the best form of his career.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"956df08b-c431-4357-97ac-cbf7449d248f\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/956df08b-c431-4357-97ac-cbf7449d248f\" alt=\"Jarome Luai and Nathan Cleary\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&quot;If you&#x27;re the coach of Queensland &#8230; you want to take time off the key players. And to do that you have to win the battle in the middle,&quot; Lockyer said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;If we&#x27;re going to do a good job on Nathan Cleary next Wednesday, then the big boys are going to have to do their job up front for that to happen.
