{"id":7909,"date":"2020-12-10T05:52:08","date_gmt":"2020-12-10T06:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=7909"},"modified":"2020-12-10T07:03:37","modified_gmt":"2020-12-10T07:03:37","slug":"pcb-in-talks-with-rashid-latif-shoaib-akhtar-for-chief-selector-role-sources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=7909","title":{"rendered":"PCB in talks with Rashid Latif, Shoaib Akhtar for chief selector role: Sources"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 5px 5% 10px 5%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/arysports.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Rashid-Latif-and-Shoaib-Akhtar.jpg\" width=\"742\" height=\"486\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Lahore:\u00a0The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is having talks with former wicket-keeper batsman Rashid Latif and former speedster Shoaib Akhtar to become chief selector of the national team, ARY Sports reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to sources, Rashid was not taking the role due to his commitment with the state TV but now his and Akhtar&#8217;s contract terminated a few days ago.<\/p>\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\" class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large XcVN5d tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\"><span lang=\"en\">PCB contacted both individuals after they lost jobs on state TV and the final agreement is likely to take place in the upcoming days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\">It must be noted that Misbah-ul-Haq&#8217;s tenure as chief selector ended on November 30th and PCB is in search of his replacement.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\">The national selection committee comprising of provincial coaches has also come to an end and the PCB has decided to change selection policy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\">PCB<b>\u00a0<\/b>has opted to form a traditional selection committee again and\u00a0it will consist of three to four members along with the chief selector.
