The horror injury run for the Sydney Roosters<\/a> has continued, with backrower Isaac Liu taken to hospital during the side's 44-16 win over Canberra.<\/a><\/p>\n

An ambulance was called to Central Coast Stadium after Liu clashed heads with Canberra's Corey Horsburgh in the 28th minute of the match.<\/p>\n

The Roosters lock suffered a haematoma in his right eye.<\/p>\n

"That was pretty bad," Roosters coach Trent Robinson said after the match.<\/p>\n

"He's gone off to the hospital to get it drained, his eye was completely shut.<\/p>\n

"It looked quite bad."<\/p>\n

\"Isaac<\/p>\n

Star fullback James Tedesco was also in the wars, suffering a hip injury during the match, however he's not expected to be in doubt for the opening State of Origin match in just over a week.<\/p>\n

"It was a hip pointer," Robinson said.<\/p>\n

"Functionally, they're quite good, you can play on, but the pain is really high. He just had to come off and get it needled.<\/p>\n

"Hip pointer is fine, they just really hurt, but they don't stop you from running and playing."<\/p>\n

The mounting injury toll forced Robinson to re-think his rotation plans, and the Roosters coach was full of praise for his side following their eighth win of the season.<\/a><\/p>\n

"We had a lot of guys playing more minutes, or different positions, than what they've played before," he explained.<\/p>\n

\"Trent<\/p>\n

"There was some real highlights. Adam Keighran playing 60 minutes, Fletcher Baker playing the whole second half.<\/p>\n

"Jared Waerea-Hargreaves playing 80 minutes, Joey Manu at five-eighth, (Joseph) Suaalii over there on the right side.<\/p>\n

"It was one of those games where guys had to do a bit more, and I liked the 'get on the with job' attitude."<\/p>\n
