Paul Gallen wasted no time resuming his war of words with promoter Dean Lonergan <\/a>following Justis Huni's unanimous decision win over Christian Tsoye.<\/p>\n

Gallen was ringside for the fight, providing commentary for the clash but continued his running "feud" with Lonergan during the post-fight press conference. Huni is known for his quiet demeanour and has told Wide World of Sports in the past trash-talking opponents isn't something he's willing to engage in.<\/p>\n

That has left Gallen and Lonergan to duke it out in a bid to drum up interest for the fight on June 16, with the New Zealand promoter firing the first shot at the ex-Sharks captain.<\/p>\n

"Gal can talk about coming forward and flailing away like a mad man, like he will," Lonergan said.<\/p>\n

\"Christian<\/p>\n

"But mate, it's all good and well doing that, but when you're getting hit and smacked in the stomach as hard as what Justis was laying on to Christian Tsoye, it's going to be a whole different ball game.<\/p>\n

Lonergan added: "I did say from day one that this will not a one or two round, merciful knockout for Justis to knock Paul out.<\/p>\n

"What it's going to be is a very slow beat down over four, five, six rounds. I've got to tell you, if you're Paul Gallen, you'd rather get knocked out in round one or two than have to take the punishment Christian Tsoye took tonight, because that's what's coming."<\/p>\n

The former NRL star expressed "relief" that Huni got through the fight unscathed, all but confirming his fight with the Olympian and his $1 million-plus pay day. Yet that didn't stop Lonergan from stirring it up again.<\/p>\n

\"Paul<\/p>\n

"I am relieved. It's been a tough couple weeks. As we all know, I tried to ask Dean not to have this fight for the pure fact in heavyweight boxing things can go wrong with one punch," Gallen said.<\/p>\n

"Thankfully tonight it didn't and Justis has pulled through fine, and we're going to fight on June 16. But it's been a tough couple weeks preparing for it."<\/p>\n

Lonergan:<\/strong> "Can we expect you to stop bleating now that the fight's on?"<\/p>\n

Gallen:<\/strong> "Mate, can you come up with something new? You are seriously ABC News, no offence. But you've got nothing. You're the worst. Come on, mate. You've deadset used the same line 25 times."<\/p>\n

Lonergan:<\/strong> "It's the first time I've used that one."<\/p>\n

Gallen:<\/strong> "No, it's not. I've read it in the paper about five times. You've got nothing. Seriously, give it to him. He's fighting. Stop talking for him, mate, he's an adult. He's 22 years of age, he's not a kid."<\/p>\n

Lonergan:<\/strong> "It's fair to say you're going to find out plenty in the next three weeks."<\/p>\n

Gallen:<\/strong> "Let him tell me that."<\/p>\n
