Carlton<\/a> is strongly considering an appeal after defender Lachie Plowman's two-match suspension was upheld by the AFL Tribunal.<\/p>\n

Despite Carlton and Plowman himself arguing that his clash with Hawthorn star Jaeger O'Meara<\/a> was incidental, the tribunal ruled that Plowman had executed a late bump.<\/p>\n

According to Nine News' Ayrton Woolley<\/a>, the decision has left Blues bosses "very frustrated", with the club weighing up a potential appeal.<\/p>\n

The Tribunal reached its verdict after a marathon two-hour hearing which saw both sides get into a heated debate over whether the entire incident was a marking contest or not.<\/p>\n

"I didn't make any election (to bump), I had all eyes on the ball," Plowman told the Tribunal. "My pure focus was the ball.<\/p>\n

\"Jaeger<\/p>\n

"I was taking the dangerous space away, I have run in a straight line, continued on my way and attacked the ball."<\/p>\n

However, Tribunal chairman Ross Howie did not see eye-to-eye with the 26-year-old.<\/p>\n

"He was aware of the presence of player O'Meara while O'Meara was not aware of Plowman," Howie said.<\/p>\n

"They find that Plowman had effected a bump and was guilty of a charge of rough conduct."<\/p>\n

The two-match ban means Plowman will miss Carlton's matches against the Sydney Swans and West Coast over the next fortnight.<\/p>\n
