Connecticut Sun WNBA head coach Curt Miller has been fined and banned by league officials after making a comment about Liz Cambage's<\/a> weight during his side's clash against the Las Vegas Aces.<\/p>\n

The WNBA slapped Miller with a $10,000 penalty and suspended him for one game for the comment, made during his side's 72-65 win.<\/p>\n

The three-time Australian WNBA All-Star<\/a>, took to Instagram after the game earlier this week and partly directed a post at Miller.<\/p>\n

"To the coach of Connecticut, I'm sorry little sir man I do not know your name, but the next time you try to call out a referee trying to get a call being like, 'Come on, she 300 pounds,' I'm going to need you to get it right, baby, because I'm 6-8, I'm weighing, I just double checked because I love to be correct and give facts, I'm weighing 235 pounds and I'm really, very proud of being a big b—-, a big buddy, big Benz baby. So, don't ever try to disrespect me or another woman in the league," she said in a video.<\/p>\n

"You're so lucky it was during a game. That whole part, you were so lucky that I was doing my job.<\/p>\n

"Anyway to that little man \u2014 whole little, tiny, like where is you? \u2014 stop trying to project your insecurities baby.<\/p>\n

"Pick up the phone, call the psych, because you projecting some bulls— right now. And next time you try to disrespect me, remember, I'm 235.<\/p>\n

"It might seem like 300 pounds to your little ass. I'm 235, baby."<\/p>\n

Miller was quick to apologise for his behaviour, assuring all involved that he had learned from the incident.<\/p>\n

"During last night's game, while arguing a call with an official, I made an inappropriate and offensive comment in reference to Liz Cambage's height and weight," Miller said in a statement.<\/p>\n

"I regret what I said in the heat of the moment and want to sincerely apologise to Liz and the entire Aces organisation. I understand the gravity of my words and have learned from this."<\/p>\n

Cambage said she was fine with players trash talking each other on the court but it was different when it came from a coach because it's "protected abuse because we can't do nothing back. It's just crazy to me."<\/p>\n
