West Coast Eagles coach Adam Simpson<\/a> has downplayed concerns surrounding his team's away form despite another loss away from Optus Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Eagles were locked in a tense contest all afternoon but succumbed to the GWS Giants, who ran out 13. 15. (93) to 11. 11. (77) winners<\/a> at GIANTS Stadium.<\/p>\n

The loss was West Coast's fourth away from Perth, leaving Simpson's men with an unenviable 0-4 away record so far in the season.<\/p>\n

However, following the loss, Simpson refused to express any great concern about his team's woes away from home.<\/p>\n

"It's a reality so we need to own it," he said.<\/p>\n

\"West<\/p>\n

"We just want to win, it doesn't matter where. I'm sure it's going to be written about. I think most teams' away record is not as good as it is at home, but we accept it. No excuses."<\/p>\n

The win sent the Giants, who are 5-5 after 10 rounds, into the top eight, with reigning premiers Richmond in ninth on percentage.<\/p>\n

Lachie Whitfield<\/a> enjoyed his best match since his return from injury, finishing with 29 disposals and a goal in the win, while young gun Tom Green continued to impress with 27 disposals of his own.<\/p>\n

In the absence of stand-in skipper Toby Greene, Jeremy Finlayson was electric up forward for the Giants with three goals, while Green, Bobby hill, Zach Sproule and Matt Flynn all kicked two goals apiece.<\/p>\n

The Giants face a stiff task in Round 11 with a trip to Brisbane on the cards, while West Coast will return to the friendly confines of Optus Stadium to host Essendon.<\/p>\n
