Parramatta young gun Jakob Arthur, the son of coach Brad Arthur, scored for the Eels in a dream debut as the club defeated the Warriors 34-18<\/a> during the NRL's Magic Round.<\/p>\n

Arthur, 18, was forced to make an early debut<\/a> for Parramatta following the suspension to playmaker Dylan Brown. He was thrust into the squad despite not training with Eels' playing group all week due to the NRL's COVID protocols.<\/p>\n

Playing at five-eighth, the young playmaker finished the match with a try assist, while also crossing over for the match-sealer as his dad watched on in the coach's box.<\/p>\n

The Eels coach was full of emotion, with cameras catching the moment he watched his son cross over.<\/p>\n

"That's a special, special feeling," Broncos great Corey Parker said on Fox League,<\/p>\n

"We spoke to Brad Arthur during the week and before the game, and he showed his emotion about his son playing.<\/p>\n

"He's had a solid game and he's crossed the strip in what will seal victory for the Eels.<\/p>\n

"That's what rugby league is all about. He will remember this for a long time."<\/p>\n

The young playmaker said his NRL debut couldn't have been scripted any better.<\/p>\n

"It's a dream come true and I'm so grateful for the opportunity," Arthur said after the match.<\/p>\n

"I can't put it into words. You dream about those things, it's unreal it happened."<\/p>\n
