The Rabbitohs halves put on a masterclass at Suncorp Stadium in their thrilling 32-22 win over the fast-finishing Cronulla Sharks.<\/p>\n
South Sydney were cruising in the first half to take a 20-6 lead into the break, but were forced to hold off a late comeback attempt by the Sharks.<\/p>\n
Back-to-back tries to Rabbitohs Cody Walker and Jai Arrow sealed Cronulla's fate however, helped by referee Chris Sutton stopping play with seven minutes remaining to put Sharks no.6 Chad Townsend on report for a high tackle commentator Braith Anasta described as "soft".<\/p>\n
In his return from a thumb injury for the Bunnies, Adam Reynolds and veteran playmaker Benji Marshall were instrumental in orchestrating the memorable victory to hand Cronulla their sixth-straight defeat, despite the return of big man Andrew Fifita.<\/p>\n

Reynolds gave Brisbane fans a taste of what he will deliver for the Broncos after signing a three-year deal this week, reportedly worth around $2.25 million.<\/p>\n
But it was Magic Round wizardry from Marshall which had everyone on their feet.<\/p>\n

After being thrashed 50-0 by Melbourne Storm last week, the Rabbitohs looked silky against Cronulla and Marshall was at the centre of their most dazzling plays, setting up two brilliant tries in the first half.<\/p>\n
The NRL veteran first showed his flair to play-in Keaon Koloamatangi for South Sydney's first try of the night, bamboozling defenders with a double-pump and a no-look pass.<\/p>\n
"This is all tempo and deception," former NRL star Anasta said in commentary.<\/p>\n

And he was at it again to put try-scoring machine Alex Johnston over in the corner with a stunning no-look cut-out pass.<\/p>\n
"Well it's a spectacular thing from the master," Anasta said of the 36-year-old.<\/p>\n
"Benji Marshall is unstoppable at the moment. It's just too easy for him."<\/p>\n
Queensland Maroons fans will be sweating on the fate of South Sydney duo Jaydn Su'A and Dane Gagai, who were both placed on report for a shoulder charge and neck contact respectively.<\/p>\n
