McGregor made $194 million from that business transaction.<\/p>\n<p>McGregor has long coveted the title of world&#x27;s top-earning athlete, having previously had a best result of No.4 in the Forbes list; in 2018, after fighting Floyd Mayweather.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"2a6ece7b-aaaa-468b-8f74-1065edc9b989\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/2a6ece7b-aaaa-468b-8f74-1065edc9b989\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheMacLife\/status\/1392509914866765824?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"embed-social embed-twitter\" data-show-caption=\"false\" data-conversation=\"none\">https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheMacLife\/status\/1392509914866765824?s=20<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The MMA fighter topped football superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, in second and third places with earnings of $168 million and $155 million respectively. Five years ago, McGregor told Ronaldo to his face that he would one day surpass him at No.1.<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Cowboys NFL star Dak Prescott was fourth, making $139 million, followed in fifth by NBA icon LeBron James with $125 million.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"648bab7e-9f91-412b-96ca-da71e1b04c0e\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/648bab7e-9f91-412b-96ca-da71e1b04c0e\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"1396\" data-height=\"785\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Brazilian football idol Neymar made $123 million, placing sixth, ahead of tennis hero Roger Federer in seventh with $116.5 million.
