Steve Smith has shown off the good and bad side of his fielding with two efforts that left commentators and fans both stunned.<\/p>\n
Smith, one of Australia's best fielders, left all watching in disbelief when he dropped an absolute sitter early on in Virat Kohli's innings down at long-on.<\/p>\n
However, he made up for it with a spectacular effort later on during Kohli's innings, putting on an exquisite display of athleticism to deny the Indian skipper a sure-fire six.<\/p>\n
After Kohli whacked a Mitchell Swepson delivery down towards the straight boundary, Smith dived full-length to catch the ball horizontal to the ground before throwing it back into the field of play before he fell over the boundary line.<\/p>\n

"That is as good a boundary save as you'll see. It deserves to be called better than that," Fox Sports commentator Mark Howard said.<\/p>\n
The effort also left one of Australia's greatest ever fielders, Mark Waugh, searching for superlatives.<\/p>\n
"He's done remarkably well," Waugh added on commentary.<\/p>\n
