Australian basketball great Andrew Bogut<\/a> has floated the conspiracy theory that Liz Cambage's Olympics blow-up was really about … undies.<\/p>\n

The Australian Olympic Committee photo<\/a> over which Cambage threatened to boycott the Tokyo Games was a promotional shoot for Jockey.<\/p>\n

Cambage, as Bogut pointed out, has previously been an ambassador for Bonds.<\/p>\n

Yet Bogut's detective work is flawed. Bonds and Jockey are both owned by Hanes, meaning they aren't active competitors. Cambage worked with Bonds two years ago, on a 2019 campaign.<\/p>\n

Cambage is, however, an ambassador for another underwear company: Rihanna's Savage X Fenty lingerie brand.<\/p>\n

Cambage on Tuesday committed to playing for the Opals at the Olympics<\/a>, while taking a crack at her haters. She slammed the AOC photo as it featured just one non-white athlete, leading her to claim it was "whitewashed". She copped heavy backlash for her aggressive stance but was unapologetic.<\/p>\n

"There are two people in this world. There are the people who have the balls to stand up and say something and make change; that's me. That's me. I was born for this," she said.<\/p>\n

"I am such a narcissist, I am such a psycho bitch that all the hate that you give me, I love it. It turns me on. It makes me go harder, it makes me push for more.<\/p>\n

"And then the second type of people in this world, that's the people that are intimidated and scared and insecure, and hide behind fake profiles and talk s–t because you're too scared to do anything. Too scared to take a stand for anything.<\/p>\n

"But don't worry, I gotcha. I'm out here talking my s–t with my big arse mouth, being a big old bitch and making change, baby. Making changes."<\/p>\n

Bogut said that Cambage's stance was "poor form"<\/a>, especially right before an Olympics.<\/p>\n

"I can separate off-court with the on-court, but I just don't think this helps any situation going into an Olympics," he said on his Rogue Bogues<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n

"Playing devil's advocate, are we now going to have team photos based on population (percentages)?<\/p>\n

"It's just absolutely ridiculous."<\/p>\n
