Carlton coach David Teague<\/a> remains confident his team is heading in the right direction, despite another collapse saw the Blues fall to an unenviable 3-5 start to the season.<\/p>\n

Teague's Blues were dominant through two and a half quarters and led at 27 points at one stage, before conceding six goals in the final quarter as the Western Bulldogs finished 16. 11. (107) to 13. 13. (91) winners<\/a> at Marvel Stadium.<\/p>\n

Collapses such as the one against the Bulldogs have been commonplace under Teague's leadership over the last two seasons, but he still saw the positives despite the loss.<\/p>\n

"I know our fans will probably get frustrated, some will, but I've got a lot of confidence in this group. It's going to take time," he said.<\/p>\n

"We can see it's not happening as quick as we would have loved. But I still think we're on the right path. <\/p>\n

"We've got a lot of quality people, we're growing as a group and I have a lot of confidence in where we're going. <\/p>\n

"As frustrating as some might say [it is] I'm not going to sit up here and lie to you, I'm going to tell you what I think and that's how I feel." <\/p>\n

Despite his positivity, Teague conceded that the vicious runs the Blues give up to their opponents was an issue.<\/p>\n

\"Eddie<\/p>\n

"We tried a few things last year, and we're still talking about different ways. Today…they got field position and pinned it in there," he said.<\/p>\n

"It is a bit of a trend. We've got to keep working together as a group.<\/p>\n

"We're probably slowing the ball movement down a little bit too much at times.<\/p>\n

"It's a real balancing act…We're in it together, we've got to find a way to be more consistent throughout the games."<\/p>\n

The task gets no easier for Teague's Blues next week when they face the undefeated Demons at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
