Brad Fittler says the Eels have still got plenty to prove, despite sitting equal with the Rabbitohs in second on the ladder<\/a> having copped just one loss in the first eight rounds.<\/p>\n

Fittler backed Parramatta to beat the injury ravaged<\/a> and COVID disrupted Roosters<\/a> in tomorrow night's blockbuster but left the door open for Trent Robinson's men due to one big question mark.<\/p>\n

"Out of the top five teams – that's the difference at the moment, the top five and then the bottom 11 – how many teams do you reckon Parramatta have played?" Fittler asked Andrew Johns on Wide World of Sports' Freddy & Joey's Tips<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

"They've played two," Fittler continued before comparing them to the battling Broncos, who have played five matches against the top five (all losses).<\/p>\n

"That's the difference, it depends what draw you get."<\/p>\n

Fittler in fact overstated the amount of top five teams the Eels have so far faced this season. They disposed of the Storm 16-12 in Round Two and haven't faced one of the top teams before or since.<\/p>\n

Their only loss of the season came against the Dragons in Round Five, when they were upset at home.<\/p>\n

The Roosters have had a similarly cushy draw, having met two top five teams prior to tomorrow night – a Round Three loss against the Rabbitohs and a Round Six loss against the Storm.<\/p>\n

Kevin Walters has had a torrid baptism of fire at the Broncos<\/a>, facing the Panthers, the Eels (twice), the Storm and the Rabbitohs over the first eight rounds.<\/p>\n

Johns said the Roosters were equipped to handle their growing injury toll, reading over their team list for tomorrow night's match<\/a> and expressing surprise at how strong the side still is despite the latest major blows to Brett Morris and Lindsay Collins.<\/p>\n

"This will be a cracking game," Johns said. "The Roosters losing player after player after player but on paper you look at their team; still got a really good starting side. Their bench, they've still got Jared (Waerea-Hargreaves) on the bench, Fletcher Baker, (Daniel Suluka) Fifita. They've still got a pretty good team."<\/p>\n

Johns also picked the Eels to win the match, comforted by the fact that they're "pretty much at full strength."<\/p>\n

Should the Roosters win they would leapfrog the Eels into either second or third on the ladder.<\/p>\n
